AMERICAN RED CROSS:

The State Assistance Information Line (SAIL) can be reached by dialing 800-342-3557 and provides accurate and up-to-date information regarding an emergency or disaster situation impacting the State of Florida. It is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Visit the website to learn how to sign up for the statewide notification service Alert Florida for emergency alerts and public safety notifications.

FLORIDA DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT (FDEM):

FDEM is here to insure Florida is prepared to respond to emergencies, recover from them, and mitigate against their impacts. They compile and update the necessary resources in preparation, during, and after the disaster has passed.

OPERATION BLUE ROOF:

Operation Blue Roof is a priority mission managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The purpose of Operation Blue Roof is to provide homeowners and permanently occupied rental properties in disaster areas with fiber-reinforced sheeting to cover their damaged roofs until arrangements can be made for permanent repairs. This is a free service to homeowners. Operation Blue Roof protects property, reduces temporary housing costs, and allows residents to remain in their homes while recovering from the storm.

SAMHSA – DISASTER DISTRESS HELPLINE:

SAMHSA’s Disaster Distress Helpline provides 24/7, 365-day-a-year crisis counseling and support to people experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters. This resource is available to anyone in the United States, as well as in Puerto Rico.

Plan ahead for any emergency with Smart911! You can provide 9-1-1 call takers and first responders with critical information you want them to know in any kind of emergency.

When you call 9-1-1, your Smart911 Safety Profile displays on the 9-1-1 screen and the 9-1-1 call takers can view your addresses, medical information, home information, description of pets and vehicles, and emergency contacts. You can provide as much or as little information as you like. Your safety profile is free, private, and secure.

Smart911 is a national service meaning your Smart911 Safety Profile travels with you and is visible to any participating 9-1-1 center nationwide.
